TCM Herbs has reverence and respect for the traditions of our ancestors. We humbly use the wisdom we, the humankind, has been taught by the nature for thousands of years. At the same time, it is natural for our company to protect our customers and comply with the legal regulations in effect. It is important to us that our herbal products are used in a beneficial and safe manner, i.e. by informed users.

As part of this responsible approach, we are not allowed to give more detailed information that would refer to the health or therapeutic effects of herbs in general.

We recommend to your kind attention publicly available sources of information about herbs you can draw on. Such sources include e.g. our TCM Herbarium.

We only state that more than 1.5 billion people worldwide use herbs on a regular basis in their daily life.

Our products are subject to strict control. All the herbs used for their preparation have their unique batch code. Each batch, without any exception, undergoes tests in the accredited drug-testing Phytax laboratory in Schlieren, Switzerland, where the tests identify herbs, detect heavy metals (mercury, cadmium, arsenic and copper) and bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella, including establishing the total quantity of such bacteria) as well as moulds, yeasts and alpha toxins.

Moreover, TCM Herbs as the only company of its kind in the European market unconditionally puts all herbal batches used for the manufacture of products, either herbal tablets or drinks, to thorough tests for 511 types of pesticides (4 groups). All that is done especially because we perceive pesticides as a current acute problem of the products from the "Third World". So also in this respect we act in interest of the protection of consumers of our products. Our goal is high-quality herbal preparations without any undesirable contents.

Diversity of laboratory analyses

When carrying out tests, laboratories testing food supplements determine the presence of heavy metals, moulds and bacteria on a compulsory basis. However, they do not usually determine the pesticide content.

That is where an analysis carried out by a certified drug-testing laboratory differs, as such an analysis also identifies individual herbs and, in particular, a broad spectrum of pesticides (more than 500 types). There are not many such highly specialized laboratories in the territory of states of the European Union, and this is also reflected in the price of their services.

We believe that at present it is very important to pay close attention to the quality and level of detail of testing a particular food supplement. Where herbal food supplements are concerned, the following criteria, in particular, are very important:

  • Whether each batch and herb is tested or whether only a random sample is tested
  • The number of types of pesticides the tests are done for
  • The quantities of additives and added binding agents contained in the product

All that to ensure the protection of consumers to the fullest extent possible (read more: Safety and quality of TCM Herbs products).

In our opinion, it clearly follows from the aforesaid facts that the herbal tablets and drinks of TCM Herbs rank among the high-quality and time-proven goods on the market of products of Chinese medicine and natural medicine in general in terms of quantity (the concentration of herbs in the blend is 5 times higher than in dried herbs, so 1 gram of herbal tablets corresponds to 5 grams of dried herbs) and quality (absolutely unparalleled testing of each batch).
