At TCM Herbs we respect the traditions of our ancestors. We use the wisdom that nature has taught humankind for thousands of years. At the same time, our company protects its customers and complies with the legal regulations. It is important to us that our herbal products are used in a beneficial and safe manner, i.e. by informed users. As part of this responsible approach, we are not allowed to give more detailed information that refers to the general health or therapeutic effects of herbal products.

We recommend that you view some publicly available sources of information about herbal products. Such sources include our www.tcmherbs.eu. We can also state that more than 1.5 billion people worldwide regularly use herbal products in their daily life.

Our products are subject to strict controls. All of our herbs have a unique batch code. Each batch, without exception, undergoes tests in the accredited pharmaceutical-testing Phytax laboratory in Schlieren, Switzerland. The tests identify herbs, detect heavy metals (mercury, cadmium, arsenic and copper) and bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella, including establishing the total quantity of such bacteria) as well as moulds, yeasts and alpha toxins.

Moreover, TCM Herbs is the only company of its kind in the European market to put all of its herbal products, either tablets or beverages, through thorough testing for 511 types of pesticides (4 groups). We do this because we currently perceive pesticides to be an acute issue with "Third World products". In this way, we are acting in the interests of the consumers of our products. Our goal is high-quality herbal products which do not contain any undesirable contents.

Diversity of laboratory analyses

When carrying out tests, laboratories testing food supplements determine the presence of heavy metals, moulds and bacteria on a compulsory basis. However, they do not usually determine the pesticide content. That is where an analysis carried out by a certified drug-testing laboratory differs, as such an analysis also identifies individual herbs and, in particular, a broad spectrum of pesticides (more than 500 types). There are not many such highly specialized laboratories in the territory of states of the European Union, and this is also reflected in the price of their services.

We believe that it is very important to pay close attention to the quality and level of detail when testing a particular food supplement. Where herbal food supplements are concerned, the following criteria are particularly important:

  • Whether each batch and herb is tested or whether only a random sample is tested
  • The number of types of pesticides the herbal products are tested for
  • The quantities of additives and additional binding agents contained in the product

We do all of this to ensure our consumers are protected to the fullest extent possible (you can read more here: Safety and quality of TCM Herbs products). In our opinion, our herbs rank among the highest-quality Chinese medicine herbal products. In general the concentration of herbs in the blend is 5 times higher than in dried herbs, so 1 gram of herbal tablets corresponds to 5 grams of dried herbs, and we undertake absolutely unparalleled testing of each batch.
